Getting victories over the forces of evil is easier than you probably think once you are no longer ignorant of his devices. Read 2Cor.2:11:
" Lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."
The problem here has been the believers attending false churches which of course aren't going to teach satans devices, they are one of his devices. Also remember 1Jn.4:4:
"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
You're supposed to win. Remember this isn't their gospel I'm preaching, I'm preaching the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Now let's read Math.10:34-39:
" Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life shall find it."
Look for attacks to come from those in your own household. I shutter to think about how many believers are married to false believers. Look two people serving the Lord Jesus Christ would never divorce. Look at how widespread divorce is amongst those calling themselves Christians. Basically, you need to fear no one and not fear anything even loss of your own life and you're gonna win. Remember fear of those that kill the body is a sin, see Math.10:28. The best way for a false believer to be a threat to you is to get close to you and get you to trust them. Make sense! But remember they will convey to you something that clearly indicates they are out of order in terms of being a person you shouldn't be fellowshipping with. Their gospel is very lenient in this area, but the true Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ isn't.
The Devil and the evil spirits need sin to be present in order to be able to work evil against you.
James 4:7 - 8:"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded."
James 4:10 " Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up."
Eph.4:27 " Neither give place to the devil."
Read 1Jn.5:18 " We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not."
When you follow Apostolic Doctrine in your congregations, the Devil will be resisted and flee. Sinning (any sin) is not resisting the devil. By this I mean false believers, false teachers, false prophets, etc. will not be able to stay in your midst. These people work with demons and the demons will want nothing more than to flee from a congregation operating correctly. Of course the believers have to also be operating as believers should be in their personal lives as well. In the absence of sin, the devil and the evil spirits can't harm you, you are resisting and they will flee. God's word always comes true.
You see a false church needs to rely on real estate to get it's credibility. The false churches don't want the correct doctrine of meeting in houses spreading. The vast majority of believers have a house or place to live that is suitable for meetings. They don't want true congregations sprouting up, so they create the concept of a church building. They also run a similar deception regarding the value of denominational affiliation and seminaries. A church building of course requires a large amount of money. Let's look at this from another perspective. Take a false church that has 3000 regular attendees. There are a lot of these around. Now, let's say the staff of workers for that church is six to ten people. Now if satan were to follow the Apostolic model of congregations meeting in houses he'd need many more people to deceive and control these same 3000 people. Folks, out of these 3000 people there are bound to be a bunch of false believers but these too satan must keep deceived. Satan doesn't approach people like "I'm the devil, worship me, serve me and you'll spend eternity in the lake of fire." He's a deceiver and deceives his own followers. His followers seem to think they can beat the scriptures. They're wrong. So, if we say 50 people can make up a reasonable house congregation, that gives us 60 congregations for the same 3000 people. Minimally this would require 60 pastors plus other ministry workers. The large church with real estate is a better more efficient model for satan to use, and of course it's not Apostolic doctrine.
The denominations are another way the false churches give themselves credibility and of course bring another sin into the situation. You can't be a true church and join a denomination. True doctrine doesn't allow for it. Another way they lend credibility to themselves is by attending seminaries. Nowhere in the New Testament do we read of any ministry worker attending such an educational institution and it is never stated as a requirement for one to enter into the ministry. The Apostles never started any seminaries. They would hold meetings and teach, but they never built any seminaries. Again, it's just a way for the false workers to give themselves credibility. Seminaries also screen out true committed believers. These false church tactics are designed to introduce additional sin and make it harder for someone who is a true believer to hold meetings as a new congregation.
When the Lord moves it is with power. This power makes the buildings and other trappings seem foolish.
Mk. 16:20 " And they went forth and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following."
God will confirm the preaching and of course practicing his word correctly with signs following. This satan really has a fear of. When the believer sees, tastes and experiences the real, the counterfeit will lose it's appeal. If satan didn't make the false churches somewhat appealing the believers would never attend them.
Do you know scripture teaches us it is possible to preach another Jesus, preach another gospel and receive another spirit! I can prove it .Read 2Cor.11:4:
" For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."
Math.24:23-27 talks of false christs. In fact this passage comes right out and tells you not to look for Jesus being on this earth again, doesn't it ! We read of being able to see him coming but we don't read of him on this earth. The Jesus, the false churches preach is going to come on this earth. So now you know how satan is attempting to set the believers up to accept the man of sin. See 2Thes.2:4:
" Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, showing himself that he is God."
We know this is the man of sin from verse 3. We also know he sitteth in the Temple of God and he also holds himself out to be God although he is a man. So you can see why it's important for the false church to promote a Jesus on this earth in the Temple of God. This is false doctrine of course designed to lead astray the believers and trick them into worshipping the man of sin.
Want to see more, read Gal.1:6-9:
" I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received let him be accursed."
Paul said those that preach another gospel (or in my interlinear it says preaches contrary to the gospel) would be cursed. He didn't say it's okay to fellowship with them in love and so forth. Dwell on these things. Pray for wisdom, insight, discernment, truth. Dwell on the signs and wonders you read about in the New Testament. Want the power back in the Church? Sure you do!
2Cor.6:17,18 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."
This scripture is not referencing marriage(s). We are not to be divorcing spouses except in the case of adultery. This isn't a call for divorce, it is a call to separate yourselves and not touch the unclean thing which a false church meets the test of being. Christians aren't isolationists. We are supposed to be witnesses in and to the world. We must circulate freely amongst the people. It is those that hold themselves out to be believers that behave contrary to the word of God that we must take great pains to avoid as the scripture so directs us.
Let's read Lk.10:18 - 19:
"And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
This should apply to the true believers today as well and remember the seventy didn't have the power available from the baptism of the Holy Spirit at that time. Also, in Mark 16:17 - 18 the scripture says:
"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover."
So we are given powers similar in kind but more broad. And for another reason. Jesus said in John 14:12:
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."
I will get into this a bit in dealing with Satan and demons later on but suffice it to say at this point in the work that you can tread on any and all power the enemy has. This is only if you're not in sin. If you are in sin, sin is the master that you are serving.
Rom.6:16 " Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"
If you are in fellowship with a person or persons you shouldn't be in fellowship with, this places you in sin. Don't expect to be able to cast any demons out of that person until you end the fellowship and ask for forgiveness from the Lord in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. This of course can all take place in a matter of a few seconds. So if you go into an unscriptural Church with crosses, women preaching, denominational affiliations, etc. don't think you can cast out the demons from the people running such a Church while you are in the Church. These sins give the demons a sin induced comfort level and also enables them to work evil and not flee from believers in such a place. You can cast evil spirits out of people without being within hearing distance of them and this will be covered in a short while as I move from the subject of Churches to demons. A false believer has to make a true believer aware of their unscriptural beliefs and/or practices in order for it to be a sin for the believer to be in fellowship with that person. The same for attending a false church.
You need to really understand this. It's important. If a false believer had perfect doctrine and practices as far as you knew, and you thought them to be a true believer, it wouldn't be sin for you to be in fellowship with such a person. It is for this reason that the false church makes no secrets of the anti-scriptural doctrines and practices. The demons operating with the false believer will not be comfortable being around you if you aren't in sin and they would flee. By the way why in the world would anyone want to be a false believer if they weren't serving satan and his demons? Think about it. People can be deceived about being a believer but this isn't what I mean when I refer to a false believer. A false believer worships the unclean spirits and knows he or she is not a believer. They will have demons in them. The false believers will usually soften up their off the mark (sin) policies and practices by saying things like I just can't stop, I have a problem, I'm confused, or some other story or rationalization to get you to feel sorry for them having the problem or staying in sin. You're not going to hear: I sinned, I asked the Lord to forgive me and I'm never going to do that again, and then the subject never comes up again and they never do it again.
If a false believer were to act and speak in a completely scriptural manner the sin would be missing and the devil would not be able to work his evil works and would need to flee.
1Jn.2:19 " They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."
You see this is what happens when you start to follow Apostolic Doctrines, you resist the devil and he flees. One more time I'd like to say that Apostolic teachings are of course the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Apostles were taught by Jesus and they serve for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Here is another scripture or doctrine that the so called church wipes it's feet on.
2Jn. 9 - 11. "Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the father and the son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God Speed: For he that biddeth him God Speed is partaker of his evil deeds."
First reread this several times and dwell on it. Now believe it and walk in it, after all it is the Bible, and please remember I didn't write it. I'd like to say the King James Translators took a Greek word that more accurately means to give someone a greeting and translated it God Speed. I have seen the word translated as Hail in other translations. The word is a salutation. The Greeks would use this word to start a letter. Jesus used this practice when he sent out the twelve telling them not to salute any man by the way, see Lk. 10:4. Also see 2Kings4:29. Forget the teachings of man and start following the doctrines in the Bible. Read 2Jn.7,8:
" For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an Antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward."
One of the most antiscriptural teachings around is that when the mormons or jehovahs come a knocking we should invite them into our homes and be hospitable to them and of course try to witness to them. This of course is in direct violation of 2Jn.9-11 and shouldn't be practiced. These cultists are out spreading doctrines of demons holding themselves out to be disciples and servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yuk. You give them credibility if you let them in. If a neighbor or someone sees you welcome them in and this person knows you to be a man or woman of God, they may think it is good to entertain these cultists and hence become snared themselves. Don't even open the door when they come a knocking. Better yet say this - In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I command you unclean spirits to come out of these people at my door now. The people outside the door don't need to hear you say it, just say it very softly. You are talking to the spirits not them.
If all the believers would do this I am quite certain these cultists would knock it off with their door to door evangelizing, and quickly. Ministries training and teaching people to take these people into their homes and be nice to them, get them a snack and/or some coffee or a soft drink are false ministries and avoid them. Our Gospel doesn't allow this. These teachings teach the believer to disregard the scriptures in the name of love or witnessing. The scriptures are for our own good and we need to follow them. It's not okay to break scriptures regardless of the rationalizations. These cultists knocking on your door are well aware of 2Jn.9-11.You are in sin if you invite them into your home. By saying they are with such and such a cult, they are saying that they do not agree with the doctrines of the New Testament yet many of them will profess to be Christians at the same time. This is classical false believer theology. Remember, you can't cast demons out of a person when you are sinfully fellowshipping with that person. They are there to bring evil into your house, don't be deceived.
Heb.5:8,9 " Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him."
Note: Jesus is the author of eternal salvation to those that obey him. Paul dealt with a false believer in a similar fashion in Acts 16:16-18. You've been given power to cast out demons without restrictions or conditions (read Mark 16:17). It doesn't say anything about the ground needing to be withdrawn or the demons just coming immediately right back in. Luke 11:24-26 tells us when the demons leave a person the demons go to a very dry place and have no rest, but they later can come in with seven more if the person doesn't repent. Demons essentially have a bad time when cast out of someone. You are doing no harm to a person by casting a demon out of them even if they want the demon. Demons are bad for everyone and you are setting the person free from a cursed thing. If they wish to return back to their own vomit that is their problem. Mind you when you do cast a demon out of a satanist it is a wakeup call. He or she then has to deal with the fact that they aren't exempt from the scriptures and their demon gods aren't so powerful. Does the scripture "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee" (Heb.13:5), have new meaning to you now. Satanists can't cast the Holy Spirit out of a believer, but you can cast their so called gods out of them. It should get them thinking when their demon buddy who may have been in there for twenty or forty years all of a sudden has to go. Hmmm. What's wrong with this picture? Am I really going to spend eternity in the lake of fire? Now you're not so ignorant regarding satan's devices. Read on. More good practical applications to follow.
False believers that work with demons read the Bible avidly to find ways of getting believers into various sins. It is sort of a sin roadmap to them. Read 2Pet.2:whole chapt. for a fine discourse on the subject of false believers. It is my experience satan and the demons don't really have an in depth grasp of the scriptures, if they did they wouldn't have crucified Jesus, see 2Cor.2:8. Without the presence of sin, the demons are powerless and will flee. Without the presence of sin you're not powerless, on the contrary you are powerful.
Throwing a demon out of someone is not doing harm or putting a curse on the person. It is a beneficial action freeing the person of the curse. Mind you, here I have been dwelling on casting demons out of Satan's evil workers, who want the demons in them. There are people that have demons that don't want them. It is different with a person who doesn't want the demons. This should be done on a personal level so you could explain to the person the Gospel and encourage them to get saved not just freed from the demons. We can't win the fight by casting out demons alone but it is a powerful tool. It is also a witness to the evil workers. They can't really believe the demons are so powerful after they are cast out of them. Evil workers will tend to take the event rather personally and not appreciate you freeing them of their supposed gods or however they view the demons. They will also be afraid of your power over their masters and be somewhat afraid of you in some instances. I mean here you come along and uproot those they fear and respect. They see the power of God in you and fear sets in. Read Acts5:5-13.
Now someone is going to think about the tribulation and satan persecuting the believers. Yes, I know there is such a thing as THE tribulation, but remember Rev. 13:7:
" It was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations."
Satan is given the power to do the things in the tribulation, once. This is a one time event that is not yet occurring at the time of this writing. Those who work with the demons normally will go for help to the demons or other evil workers to try a more craftily devised plan to trap you in a sinful snare. They need to work through sin, your sin that is. If you don't give them sin, they can't work. You resist the devil and he flees. I have never seen them get violent with the person doing the casting out. I have never seen a demon fling around or otherwise physically abuse the person they are being cast out of. When you read of these events in the scriptures you see the person wanted the demon to come out. The demon and the person will sometimes conceal from you the act of the demon departing. The demon doesn't want to hurt the person, they want the person to want more demons to go back in. They both want you to think the demon casting is not working. Don't look for visible signs, walk by faith not sight. The Bible says it, you did as the Bible says using the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the demon will come out and that is that.
Your spiritual warfare is with the demons not the person. You are not attacking the person, so why should the person manifest any physical signs. Make sense! If the demons wish to make the person manifest in the physical they can as they did in the New Testament, BUT remember Luke 10:19 you can command them to not do this. Anything they have the power to do you can tread on. Dwell on this. This is why satan goes to such elaborate measures to keep the believers from discovering and walking in the truth. When Paul cast the demon out of the woman bothering him we read of no physical reactions from the woman, Read Acts 16:18 " And this she did many days. But Paul being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour." Note Paul didn't engage the demon in conversations or ask it's name. Paul didn't worry about any ground being removed. Paul didn't care if the woman wanted the demon there or not. Note Paul spoke to the spirit not the person. Whether or not the person wants the demon out is irrelevant and will not cancel or affect Mark 16:17. You don't need to know the name of the demon or demons to cast it out of someone. Paul didn't in the above example.
In Mk.9:25 we read something interesting Jesus did when casting out a demon:
" When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him."
Jesus told the demon it couldn't go back into the person again. You can do the same. Forget about retaliations from satan in your life. He can't work without sin. You can cast demons out of people all day long and the demons are powerless to stop you or retaliate later on making your life more difficult. Read Luke 10:19 enough times until you grasp this firmly. If you're not in sin and full of the Holy Spirit rest assured you have already come to the attention of Satan as a potential threat.
1Jn.4:4 " Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
Remember just one person can wreck satan's whole program and his world system. What about Noah! What about Elijah!
Acts 17:6 " And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also."
The ungodly saw the Apostles as turning the world upside down. To the godly satan turned the world upside down and the Apostles merely were turning it right side up again. Your spiritual weapons are so powerful, so very powerful, my brothers and sisters pray that the Lord shows you how to use them and wage a good fight and may your eternal rewards in heaven be great. Oh if you want to experiment in the area of demon casting don't be shy. You my brothers and sisters can cast demons out of political leaders anywhere in the world, out of entertainment personalities anywhere in the world, out of anyone. Don't be try start with the cult leaders you know the names of. Do it in the privacy of your own home. Need to build up your faith a bit more Read Mark 11:23:
" For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."
You read it, believe it and walk in it. You can cast the demons out of a nuclear submarine commander under the polar ice cap right now from your living room. You can cast out the demons from a military leader in a fortress under some mountain designed to resist a nuclear strike. You can cast out the demons from an astronaut in some satellite in space. Yes you can. Yeah you.
Try upsetting the demons in your home town. Drive around stop by strip joints, bars, fortune tellers, psychics, cults, rock concerts, porno stores, false churches, etc. Command the demons to come out from any person in the premise your addressing, now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Don't have a car. Get a yellow pages and let your fingers do the walking while you do the tossing. See you can put the yellow pages to good use. You upset satan's work and workers tremendously this way. Just imagine all these tossed out demons getting together in the dry places where they have no rest talking about what happened to them.
Remember satan has a finite (fixed) number of demons. Satan has no power to create demons. If the demons are to eventually return to the evil worker they departed from and bring seven more, eventually there is going to be a demon shortage. The apostles and Jesus did a lot of demon tossing during their ministry. One of the things it does is confuse and bewilder the enemy. Also bear in mind that we read in Mark 9:25 of Jesus telling a demon to come out of person and to enter no more into him. If Jesus did it why can't you? Read John 14:12:
" Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. "
Just in passing where would that leave us if Jesus left his Father and came to live on earth. Now we need a scripture to prove you can cast out demons without being in earshot of them, don't we. Don't believe what people say in the absence of supporting scriptures when it comes to doctrine. Read mark 7: 26-30:
" The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast in unto the dogs. And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet let the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed."
There you have it. Make your town a place where demons fear to tread. If you get stumped cry out to the Lord for help in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Read Ps.56:9:
" When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know for God is for me."
Don't forget you can always pray for God to toss the demons out of whoever you want in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as well. Happy tossing. You can also pray to the Lord to throw the demons out of anyone who is trying to curse you or your family or targeting you in any way for an evil work, your family too. God knows who they are. See how defeated and vulnerable satan and the demons are according to the true Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep reading, more good stuff.
Satan's evil workers be they impersonating believers, be they businessmen, or whatever are following Satan's methods which are kept secret by them. God's children are following wisdom, righteousness, love, faith and the Bible. These things are open and there is no power that can overcome them. There is no need for secrecy in the Lord. A false power requires secrecy because if other people discover the secrets the power can be rendered ineffective. Our power is driven by faith and love. Satan needs cooperation from victims to make his power work. The victim must sin. If satan could I'm sure he'd just instantly remove all the believers from the planet. He has nothing even resembling such power and we read nowhere of satan having any power to create even a thing as small as a paper clip.
The evil workers go around deceiving people and being deceived themselves
2Tim.3:13 " But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."
The pits, snares and stumbling blocks that these people set for others stumble and snare them. The more they deceive others, the more the demons can deceive them.
Prov. 11:8 " The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead."
Prov.28:10 " Whoso cause the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall himself fall into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession."
If you go through Psalms and Proverbs you shall find many passages dealing with this subject matter. Let me explain this as I see it. The evil workers of Satan go out and deceive and craftily use their sorceries on people, read Rev.18:23. These evil workers are deceiving those people and this gives the demons place to further deceive their own workers who worship them. Satan knows that the people that are worshipping him are on their way to the Lake of Fire. Satan destroys those who worship him as well if he can as well as those who do worship him. All mankind is a potential threat to satan. Satan is just nice to them on the surface so he can use them more freely. Look satan can't go to people up front and say I'm the devil. Worship me and serve me and you'll be burned in the Lake of Fire for all eternity. He must be more crafty about how he recruits into his ranks. So the more the evil workers deceive people, the more they get deceived by the demons. It appears to me that satan ultimately prefers to use idols to deceive the people. In the Old Testament this was his approach and in the tribulation he uses an image of the beast and even gets it empowered to speak. Read Rev. 13 the whole chapter. Satan does introduce idolatry into his false churches.
1Cor.3:17 "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are."
We need to clean up the translation a bit here. The word for temple is Strong's #3485 and it specifically means not just a temple but the holy place or holiest of holies in the temple. Let's look at 1Cor.3:16:
" Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you."
The spirit of God dwells in the believer similar to the way the Glory of God dwelled in the Temple of the Lord. The Glory of God was in the Holies of Holies. This is the analogy being used here. Since we contain the Spirit of God, we are a holy temple. The word the King James translates as defile is Strong's #5351 and it means to spoil, to ruin, to corrupt or to destroy, physically or morally. I feel it is these scriptures that stop the evil workers of satan from physically attacking believers, and of course don't forget you have an angel and God knows all. Now I started to realize that demon possessed people can tell you are a Christian on sight. I expect it is the demons that tell them. Now we need a scripture. Read Mark 3:11,12:
" And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God. And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known."
We also glean from this that unclean spirits have the capability of passing on information regarding a believer and you have the power to command them to not do this in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Again, think Luke 10:19,20.
"Rejoice not that the demons are subject to you."
Think about that. Believe it. Walk in it. Be on guard not to fall into the snare of telling the demons to do things that are evil. That is what the witches do. The demons seem to be able to determine that you are a believer through telephone contact as well. Since there were no telephones in the New Testament I am lacking a scripture for this. I do believe that if you are continually casting demons from a particular evil worker of Satan's after a while the demons will stop going into that person even if the person is asking them to. This I believe is a temporary situation until you hopefully become distracted enough to forget about that person. Brothers and sisters your power is great. The only defense the enemy has if he can't keep you in sin, is to bluff you out and make you think your power isn't working. Walk by faith not sight. You cast out a demon, it's out and that's all there is to it. Don't get dependent on noticeable responses for confirmation, this is walking by sight.
Let's refer to passage Mk.11:23 - 24. This is a passage that creates a lot of fear in the satanists, especially the false believers. They seem to fear us speaking things they don't want to see come to pass. They will often terminate conversations with a believer when the believer is saying things they are uncomfortable with. They are afraid of repeating such things over and over by the believer.
Don't believe Christians are immune from witchcraft. This is not what the Bible teaches. Read Gal.3:1
" O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth crucified among you?"
I don't think Paul would speak figuratively or jokingly about such a serious matter as indicated by the use of the word bewitched. The word translated as bewitched is Strong's #940. It means to bring an evil on one by feigned praise or an evil eye, to charm or bewitch. The word was used to refer to leading others away into error by wicked arts. The translators seemed accurate in choosing the word bewitched.
1Pet.5:8 " Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."
Satan is not exactly here described as harmless, but quite to the contrary dangerous.
1 Cor.5:5 " To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus."
The destruction of the flesh sounds terminal to me, death is what it is. When your flesh is destroyed you're dead. It is often heard in the phony churches that witches can't hurt you and curses put on you just come on them instead and so forth. Don't be deceived. If you are in sin, you have given place to the devil and he can be dangerous to the point of death. Sin leads to death. The good news is 1Jn.5:18:
" We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not."
The believer keeps himself. No sin and the devil is powerless and will flee. Now there is a scripture which is found in Prov. 26:
" As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come."
This lines up with no sin (causeless curse). There are other scriptures on this subject like Prov.28:10:
" Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession."
The evil ones that set snares and traps for you shall fall by their own devices but it does you no good if you fall or stumble. So look for the false churches to be the snares and pits that the false believers themselves will be taken with. Do not rejoice when you see your enemy fall or stumble.
Prov. 24:17 - 18 " Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him."
Rom.12:21" Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."
There is no scripture that says believers are immune to the attacks of the devil when they are in sin. Without sins, yes, you are immune but we must also take martyrdom into account as well. If you sin, confess your sins and get forgiveness from the Lord in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The place given is removed (assuming you're no longer in sin) and you're fine again. We can really wage one powerful spiritual fight when we learn how to function correctly. Pray that the Lord would reveal to you any and all snares, traps, pits, and stumbling blocks set in your path and how to avoid them, and who is a party to these evil works in your life. Ask the Lord to show you how to make your ways pleasing to him. Ask the Lord to reveal all the camouflage of the enemy in your life. I believe the Lord will be quite willing to answers these prayers. It's up to you to receive and act on the answers.
You see the devil is quite aware of how powerful the Christian in complete armor can be. The devil can't hold up in such a fight. What the devil has done over time is created ways of snaring believers when they are babes. Dig deep into your memory banks and you'll remember incidents where the false churches and false workers were snaring you into sin without you understanding what was going on. Your memory will bring to light some of the things satan's evil workers did to you while you were not really aware of what was going on. You see in the past when you were unaware their guard was down. By going through your memories you'll learn a lot. The Holy Spirit taught me much this way. The false churches tend to preach against drunkenness, adultery, fornication, violence, stealing, lying and practically ignore other sins. Sin is sin. They don't ever totally ignore these other sins. They read the scriptures concerning them to make sure you're not ignorant of these sins in which case it wouldn't be sin for you, but they don't expound upon or rebuke people for committing these sins, let alone rebuke them in front of the congregation. The whole world system you see today is designed to keep people, especially believers in some sort of sin. As you purge yourselves your eyes will become more and more open to how evil this present world system is and you'll clearly see why God will some day end the way this world operates.
Let's go back to the subject of the telephone for a minute. You don't talk on the telephone to anyone you shouldn't be receiving into your house. Spiritually it 's the same thing. The demons can and will operate if you talk on the phone to someone you shouldn't be talking to. Let's go over some of the scriptures on this subject so we know who we can and cannot fellowship with but let's finish up with the telephone first. If a person to be avoided calls, you have options. The best and safest one is zero communication and just hang up when you know it's them. They may call back a bit but resist the devil and he will flee. Don't say anything and you're in the clear. When breaking fellowship with someone this is the best approach, a clean and total cut. You don't have to explain to false believers why you're terminating the fellowship. Just stop all the contact and communication. No mail communication, no phone communication, no personal communication.
1Cor.5:9 - 11 " I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat."
This scripture passage concerns itself heavily with staying away from those calling themselves a believer who live incorrectly. We are given license to have contact with those people practicing such things as long as they are not calling themselves a brother. We don't participate in these evil works with these people, of course. We are to witness to them. Read the New Testament and see if you can find anyplace where the Apostles were closely fellowshipping with the ungodly and not witnessing to them. They didn't do such things. When you read the last two verses in the Book of Acts you read of Paul receiving all that came to him, but he was preaching and teaching the Gospel to them. Paul took spiritual control of the situation and preached the Gospel to these people. The evil workers of Satan that aren't false believers, will very quickly cut you off when you start preaching the Gospel to them. They'll often seem offended. The false believers of course can't do this, but you shouldn't be fellowshipping with them.
Read about Paul on the ship to see Caesar in Acts 27. See how Paul got control over things. God gave him prophesies concerning the journey and Paul shared it with the crew. Paul's prophesies concerning them came true and then Paul had a good in to preach the Gospel. We don't read of Paul hanging around with the ungodly crew fraternizing and listening to their worldly stories, etc. Also remember Paul was in custody on that ship. In the next Chapter, Acts 28 we read of Paul shipwrecked on Melita. Paul again gets spiritual control of things early on. The show started with the snake biting Paul and progresses to Paul healing people. Everything was always the Gospel. Paul had good doctrine. In Acts 16 we can learn more about how Paul worked. He's preaching all over. He casts a demon out from a woman and her masters get upset and cause Paul and Silas to get whipped and put in prison. Now, that was a mistake for the devil. It doesn't break the spirit of Paul and Silas. They earned eternal rewards for the beating they took. At midnight there they are singing praises in jail. Boom, here comes an earthquake and all the doors get opened and everyone's bands get loosened. Now the jail is assumably destroyed or in need of a lot of repair, if it was indeed fixable. Everyone is set free of their bands.
My what an unusual but convenient earthquake. Now we read of the jailer and his family getting saved. And we see the jailer feeding Paul and Silas and cleaning their wounds. You see here the devil tried to move on Paul and Silas in the absence of sin and took some big losses. Paul and Silas chalked up some eternal rewards and seemed fine. Acts 14:19. Here the evil ones tried to stone Paul thinking he was dead. What happens he gets up, preaches, teaches etc. Again another defeat for satan who tried to work in the absence of sin. He couldn't even kill Paul. Paul knew how to work with God and get control of the circumstances but Paul worked out of love. He preached the gospel out of love. His love worked his faith.
Gal.5:6 "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love."
Rom.8:28 " And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose."
Read it, believe it and walk in it.
Let's go to 1Tim.6:3:
" If any man teach otherwise and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself."
This passage is concerning itself with withdrawing from those who do not consent to the words of Jesus Christ and say they are believers. In 1Cor.5:9 - 11 Paul tells us we can keep company with those doing evil as long as they don't hold themselves out to be believers or else we'd need to go out of the world. The word used by the King James translators for keep company is Strong's # 4874. The meaning of the word is to mingle with or associate or have contact with. What Paul is saying is we of course need to witness to these people and we also need to be able to go a store and buy clothes, appliances, food, etc. This means we need to have interactions with these ungodly people but really super shun the person calling himself or herself a believer who is behaving incorrectly. Believers are not monks living in isolation somewhere. More scriptures to follow, read them all, don't be hasty, let the scriptures speak.
2Tim.3:1 - 5 " This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."
Here again we are told to turn away from those showing such behavior who are holding themselves out as being believers which is indicated by the portion of the passage stating they have a form of godliness. This fits the false church.
Tit.3:10 - 11 " A man that is a heretic after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself."
A heretic is the word the King James translators used for the Greek word given the number #141 by Strong's Concordance. The word Heretic means a person who holds opinions and beliefs contrary to scripture. You go to them once, twice and then reject them. Gal.5:19 - 21 has a workable summary of incorrect behavior:
"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."
Read Ps. 1:1 -6:
" Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in season; and his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."
Math.10:29 - 31 " Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your father. But the very hairs of your head are numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."
People don't just have bad things happen to them.
Prov. 12:21 "There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief."
Remember you read about the time a crowd wanted to throw Jesus down a hill (Lk.4:30) to kill him, and he just walked through the crowd. This type of thing is mentioned elsewhere. Jesus had no sin, no evil happened to him. Remember it was God's will for his death and Jesus voluntarily submitted to it.
Eph.4:27 " Neither give place to the devil."
You see you have to chose whether or not you're going to give place to the devil.
You should also note that Jesus was never sick. He touched lepers and never caught leprosy. Sickness comes from sin. We are not supposed to die from diseases. Did Moses? Was he weak, or sick. No. True we die, but dying in sick beds in hospitals is from sin. God does not need to make a person sick and weak and of unsound mind before they die.
Sickness and disease is a curse, read Deut. 28. God calls it a curse. How do you feel about drug commercials on TV now. Hey it's flu and cold season so plan on getting sick. Believe you're going to get sick. Look at this sick person, that's what it'll be like for you. Forget about sin, that's not scientific, just believe you're going to catch some disease from someone. Then buy our medicine we like being rich.
James 5:14 " Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
Where it says and if he committed sins, in the Greek the word for if is absent. The word translated as " faults" by the King James translators is Strong's #3900 and it is very close in meaning to sin with an emphasis on the act being a slip or an unintentional mistake. You can see here that the confession and forgiveness of sins is related to healing. If you walk through it backwards, it is the sin that brings on the sickness, since the sins must be removed (confessed and forgiven) to effect the healing. By the way the elders should be ready to go to the sick if they are called, and the people have the right to call for the elders to come to them. Read Mk.2:9:
" Whether it is easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk."
You see Jesus is laying it all out for you. Read it, believe it and walk in it. In Jn.5:13 - 14 Jesus talks on the same subject having seen the same man in the temple:
"And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee."
The Lord explains it here for the man and of course for us readers. Sin brought the sickness on the person. Got it. The warning was to not go back into sin or something worse would happen. There is a similar discourse regarding demons being cast out of someone and them returning with seven more. Read Lk.11:24 - 26:
" When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and findeth none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first."
The evil spirits couldn't just go back in, in the absence of sin. By the way please note the demon doesn't instantly come back in the person as some teach. Remember the time Jesus rebukes a fever. The words read similar to the way he rebuked demons.
Lk.4:38 - 39 " And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her. And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them."
Jesus treated disease and demon possession in a most similar way. Sin brings about both. False believers lack healing so they will become infuriated with this teaching but that is their problem. Remember we read of the special miracles regarding Paul.
Acts 19: 11 - 12 " And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them."
The people are set free from both diseases and demons in the same way, yet the scriptures differentiate between demons and diseases. We all know a person gets a demon due to sin, Right. No deep explanations needed. If you touch a person with a demon, you're not going to get a demon just because you touched that person. You don't just get on a crowded bus full of people with demons and get off the bus with a demon in you. Correct. The evil workers of Satan want you to believe that you can just get sick by being around people that are sick, but on the other hand they say certain diseases won't spread via contact. For instance strepp throat spreads by contact but brain tumors don't.
Okay, how do people get these diseases that don't spread by contact ? They claim heredity for some of these but not all. You see how it starts to fall apart ! When the true church of the Lord Jesus Christ begins to walk in correct doctrine, sickness and disease will be one area in which our lives will be distinctly different (better) from the ungodly. Now Satan doesn't want this, it's a bad witness from his point of view since it glorifies God. He wants us getting sick just like his evil children. You don't need an HMO all you need is correct doctrine. Insurance is an investment based on faith that something tragic will happen to you. Trust God, not man. Governments fail. The money of a country can become worthless overnight. Banks fail. Wars, earthquakes, floods, fires, tidal waves, plagues, etc. can destroy countries and economies.
Read what happened to Egypt in the Book of Exodus. God through Moses wrecked the place. It appears the Two Witnesses will do likewise to many countries at the same time. Insurance companies can even go bankrupt. The ungodly that don't trust in God look to man for support and trust. This is a very deceptive source to put your trust in. Just a good power outage will essentially render a hospital of little value after their spare power runs out in a few days or so. That means no operating rooms, no sterilizers, no monitoring equipment, no respirators, no heat, no a/c, etc. People work their whole life to save up what amounts to a computer entry in a bank. This bank can one day be closed and they are broke with no one to turn to. If they have a safe at home full of paper money the same thing can happen. One day they wake up to find that their paper money has become almost worthless and their wealth has decreased by 95% and they are almost broke. Who will they call on? What about people storing diamonds, gold and silver? What if a thief breaks in and steals it? What if a panicking government (any government in the world) says it's illegal to own gold or silver bullion and confiscates it for their own reserves, giving you paper money in exchange. Think of these rich people that store such riches worrying about them all day and night.
Doctors and hospitals say they can't even cure a common cold. People get sicknesses and diseases that the doctors say they can't cure and the people accept this and resign themselves to dying as the doctors tell them they will. Is your Bible false. Can you need call for the elders, have them anoint you with oil and confess your sins, be forgiven and healed ? Of course you can but it won't work if you call elders from the false church, will it ! This elaborate health care system is a substitute for the healing provided us in the New Testament. The hospitals and doctors are a lousy substitute. God can cure any disease or affliction and will do so through the laying on of hands and the anointing with oil by the elders as the Apostolic doctrines tell us, but this requires correct congregations with real elders. No disease is exempt from God's healing, None. Got it.
Look what is going on here can give you some insight into how Satan works. The false churches are a key part of his plan. Satan's real enemy is the believer. He snared lots of us with his false churches. We were in sin - fellowshipping incorrectly, going to churches with off course doctrines and practices, etc. We knew all these things were in the Bible, having read the Bible but it just never grabbed us enough to shake us free. This is the blindness that sin brings. Now Satan wants us to not really understand the power of the believer. We are very powerful, in Christ Jesus. It wouldn't do for us to be the only people running around not getting sick and being able to heal the sick especially of dread diseases. So, Satan snared us with his false churches.
In these churches everyone gets sick. Dramatic healings are even more absent. The dead aren't being raised, limbs aren't appearing, the blind aren't seeing, the deaf aren't hearing, the severely crippled aren't being made whole, etc. People will say they got healed of things but the real attention grabbing, it just simple had to be God beyond a shadow of a doubt, healings aren't taking place in these false churches. This tends to erode the faith of the believer. He or she starts to think the scriptures aren't true, or God isn't working, etc. Satan wants this. It discredits the church and the Gospel. The Apostles would mostly rely on healing and demon casting to get the attention of the people. Right. These are the things that the false churches suppress as best they can. You will see the difference between those who serve God and those who don't when you meet God all the way.
2Cor.6:17 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."
If we obey God, God will receive us as his children. "Receive" is Strongs word #1523 and has a meaning of being treated with favor or being received kindly. Meditate on this scripture.
2Tim.2:4 "No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier."
This is a scripture that should remind you not to get involved with worldly affairs. The Constitution of the United States of America and the Bill of Rights will not keep you out of the Lake of Fire, this only the Word of God can do. Don't be deceived in this area. Pray for leaders who serve the true God. Pray that all false believers would be removed from their offices all over the world. Pray all false believers would be removed from places of business leadership and control. Pray for the false churches to come to an end. Use your power of prayer. Get by yourself in a prayer closet type setting and pray for things like this every day. I would also like to suggest that you pray for the Hebrews to come to the faith and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for God to raise up true congregations and fill all the ministry offices. Pray for God to turn the world rightside up.
Focus on getting yourself and your congregations operating according to true Bible doctrine. 2Cor.10:3 - 6 " For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled." Don't overlook the ending part about not revenging disobedience until your obedience is fulfilled. Think on this for a while.
Mat. 11:28 - 30 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
So, who's yoke do you want, the Lord Jesus yoke or that of the devil working through the ungodly?
Let's deal with marriage briefly. I am afraid that we will find that some of you are married to false believers. Let me be more specific. You are married to a spouse that is a wicked servant of Satan, and has impersonated being a believer and you married them. You probably met them in and or through a false church. First thing you people will have to do is start taking inventory of the people in your lives to determine who goes and who stays, but spouses don't go just because they're false believers. Friends, neighbors, people in your business life, these can go if need be. Go into prayer about the people in your lives. The decision making process is very easy when it comes to those outside your family. If a person lied to you about serving Jesus as Lord, and is a full blown satanist this is not grounds for divorce. Lying and idolatry are the offenses and they do not justify divorce. Let's cover the s
